The founding partners met last October to begin the process and will reconvene in March at the National Association of Student Personnel Administrator's annual conference.
Arizona does not have a mask mandate, so this is a voluntary decision. Sixteen institutions have been selected as founding partners and include Northwestern University, Penn State University, the State University of New York at Stony Brook, Texas A&M University and the University of Miami. The UA's participation builds on recent campus-wide building initiative, including the Connections Program, the Preceptor Program and the UA-Community Partnership Grants Program. Its goals are to develop a national network of institutions dedicated to community building, establish a national clearinghouse of community building resource and support the scholarship of education communities by documenting how they are constructed, function and impact student learning. The Collaboratory, Arizona Museum of Natural History, i.d.e.a. The collaboratory is sponsored by the Boyer Center, founded in 1997 to preserve and advance the vision of noted educator Ernest L. 8th Annual Southwest Maker Fest Returns to Downtown Mesa. This is a national network of colleges and universities committed to and engaged in building strong educational communities. The Collaboratory provides creative development, MIG welding, plasma cutting, 3D printing, blacksmithing, and project classes services. The University of Arizona was recently selected to be a Founding Partner of the Boyer Collaboratory for Building Campus Community.
